Gold Rush Gang Predictions: March 2014
The first batch of predictions from the newly inducted Gold Rush Gang are ready for perusing! 2014 looks to be a fantastic and fascinating year for predictions and the list of Best Picture candidates shows that. While most of the films seem to be on the indie side there are some clear blockbusters (Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, starring the newly Oscar-ed Matthew McConaughey, for one) it will be fun to see which of these films breaks out as a big sleeper hit of the season and makes its mark.
Currently, Big Eyes, Birdman, Foxcatcher, Inherent Vice and Interstellar find support with all ten members. Next up is Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken with nine votes (what gives, Matt L.?) and Fury and Gone Girl with eight. Tate Taylor’s Get On Up, which just debuted its first trailer, has the support of six members but after that it’s a crap shoot with a handful of film garnering scattered support.
