‘Gotti,’ ‘Happytime Murders,’ Trump Administration lead 2019 Razzie Nominations

The Golden Raspberry Awards have announced their nominees on the eve of the Oscar nominations. The 39th Razzies, which honor the worst films of the year in nine categories, range from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel and Worst Onscreen Combo.
This year, Melissa McCarthy is nominated in Worst Actress for both The Happytime Murders (a nomination leader with 6, along with Gotti) and Life of the Party. She’s also likely to receive an Oscar nomination tomorrow morning for Can You Ever Forgive Me? and will join the likes of Sandra Bullock to be nominated for both awards in the same season. Bullock famously showed up to collect her Razzie trophy with child’s wagon full of All About Steve DVD’s.
