It’s been just about a year since The White Lotus closed up shop on its first season, and now the show, which is set to return for a second installment set in Italy, has been nominated with twenty Emmy Awards. Among the talented performers recognized is Alexandra Daddario, celebrating her first Emmy bid for her portrayal of Rachel Patton, the newly-married writer on her honeymoon in Hawaii. She begins to realize that her husband Shane (Jake Lacy) doesn’t view her as an independent or goal-oriented person as she encounters other colorful characters on their vacations.

We had the chance to speak with Daddario about the chance to share scenes with actors like Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, and Molly Shannon, and whether she would want to be a part of the show now that it’s been renewed. We also talked briefly about her time on another anthology series, Why Women Kill, and her upcoming show Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.

Alexandra Daddario is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The White Lotus (episode “Departures”), which is available to stream on HBO Max.
