Interview: Chloë Sevigny talks ‘The Girl from Plainville,’ ‘Russian Doll,’ and discusses her acting process [VIDEO]

Whether it’s Big Love, The Mindy Project, We Are Who We Are on television, or her Oscar-nominated turn in 1999’s Boys Don’t Cry, Chloë Sevigny always delivers a stand-out performance.
This year she continued to show her versatility, giving a devastating performance in the Hulu limited series The Girl From Plainville and a hilariously sly one one in Netflix’s second season of Russian Doll.
I had a chance to speak with Sevigny about her process in The Girl From Plainville. We also touched on how she goes about picking her next role (which isn’t as complicated as I thought it might be). In our conversation, Sevigny breaks down how she prepared to play this real life character and the challenges that involved for her during filming.
Chloë Sevigny is Emmy eligible for Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Girl from Plainville and Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Russian Doll.
