Fisher Stevens has a storied career that has evolved over the years.
Some might think of him from his acting work in Short Circuit or Succession, others might think of him for his directing Stand Up Men, or his fantastic work as a documentarian, which ultimately lead to his Oscar win in 2010 for The Cove. Stevens is a man of many talents and rarely disappoints. He is returning to direct his latest feature release, Palmer starring Grammy and Emmy Award winner Justin Timberlake, which debuts on Apple TV+ Friday, January 29.
AwardsWatch contributor Dewey Singleton had a chance to speak with him about his latest projects, his personal connection to film’s gender nonconformist youngster (played by newcomer Ryder Allen in his first film) and just how invested Timberlake truly was.
