An argument can be made that 2020 was a good year for Kingsley Ben-Adir.
This highly talented actor earned such praise for his work portrayal of former President Obama in The Comey Project and his powerful portrayal of Black American Muslim minister and human rights activist Malcolm X in One Night In Miami. As we navigate our way through award season and with each announcement of the winners in various voting guilds, Kingsley’s name is one of the consistent names we see being nominated for his performance in Regina King’s feature debut.
With all of this buzz clearly building for Kingsley it’s not a far-fetched to predict that he could be nominated for his performance in One Night In Miami for both a Golden Globe and Academy Award. AwardsWatch contributor Dewey Singleton spent some time with this brilliant actor and did a dive deep into his wonderful performance.
One Night in Miami is currently in limited theatrical release in select theaters and will be available on Prime Video January 15.
