Interview: R.J. Cutler gets under the surface of superstardom with ‘Billie Eilish: The World’s Little Blurry’ [VIDEO]
From Belushi to Billie? This was my first thought when I heard that Director RJ Cutler was going to be the man tapped to bring the world an inside look at the biggest act in music, Billie Eilish.
On the surface the pivot didn’t make much sense but 10 minutes into his latest work, Billie Eilish: The World Is A Little Blurry, it became crystal clear why he was the best person for the job. Just like in Belushi, Cutler is able to show the world who these subjects truly are. Just like there was more to John Belushi than SNL, there’s much more than rock and roll to Eilish. We were lucky enough to sit down with the director to discuss his latest fascinating release and we also able to weave in some fan questions about the documentary.
I urge everyone to pay close attention to the interview (especially the questions from the fans) because Cutler lets something slip that will cause fans to go crazy in a very awesome way.
Billie Eilish: The World Is A Little Blurry premieres on Apple TV+ Friday, February 26.
