Wolfwalkers has taken the animation world by storm and quickly has become one the most critically acclaimed releases of 2020. The film made its debut at the Toronto Film Festival to wide praise and currently sits at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The adulation continued this past week as the film screened at the London Film Festival. With the film is set to premiere this December on Apple TV+, Wolfwalkers is quickly becoming a serious contender during a highly unusual awards season. As it stands right now, we could be seeing Soul face off against Wolfwalkers for best animated feature at this year’s Oscars.
Even with this a real possibility, the film’s directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart seem unaffected by all the chatter. AwardWatch’s own Dewey Singleton was lucky enough to spend a few minutes with Moore and Stewart to discuss their latest project.
