Matt Damon and Christian Bale burn rubber in first trailer for ‘Ford v Ferrari’
20th Century Fox is putting the pedal to the metal with the first trailer for their fall awards hopeful Ford v Ferrari, from director James Mangold (Walk the Line, Logan) and starring Oscar winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale.
The film is based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
Ford v Ferrari is written by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller and produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and James Mangold. It co-stars Jon Bernthal, Caitriona Balfe, Tracy Letts, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, Remo Girone, Ray McKinnon
20th Century Fox has Ford v Ferrari in the pole position of November 15th and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios.
