Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari led the Detroit Film Critics Society nominations with six on Thursday, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Steven Yeun) and Best Supporting Actress (Youn Yuh-jung).

Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago 7 were next with five apiece. All were nominated for Best Picture along with First Cow (3 nominations) and Nomadland (4 nominations).

The group’s eligibility period covered any film released from 1/1/2020 until 2/28/2021.

The winners in each category will be announced via Live-Tweet on the official Detroit Film Critics Society Twitter on Monday, March 8th, and they will be dedicated to former DFCS member and critic, Corey Hall, who passed away in 2020.
