New pics from Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women’ featuring Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Eliza Scanlen

Sony/Columbia has released a huge batch of first look pics of Little Women, Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of the timeless novel Louisa May Alcott, which is set for release on Christmas Day.
This is the third major adaptation of the novel with the 1933 version starring Katharine Hepburn and the 1994 version starring Winona Ryder, each as Alcott’s protagonist Jo March. For Gerwig, she went right to her Lady Bird star, Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan.
For Gerwig’s period-set version, she also brought on Oscar heavyweights Meryl Streep and Laura Dern with Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen and Emma Watson.
The film is produced by Denise Di Novi, Robin Swicord, Arnon Milchan and Amy Pascal and executive produced by Adam Merims. The top notch technical crew includes Academy Award winning composer Alexandre Desplat, Academy Award winning costume designer Jacqueline Durran and Academy Award nominee Jess Gonchor heading up the production design.
The photos were first published exclusively at Vanity Fair, accompanying a story and profile by Sonia Saraiya. All photos from WILSON WEBB/© 2019 CTMG, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
