Oklahoma Film Critics Circle names ‘Minari’ Best Picture, Chloé Zhao Best Director

The Oklahoma Film Critics Circle has named Minari the best film of 2020, with Yuh-Jung Youn winning another supporting actress prize.

Chloé Zhao continued her run on best director, winning in the panhandle state for Nomadland as well as adapted screenplay. Emerald Fennell won original screenplay for Promising Young Woman.

Sound of Metal took home two acting wins; best actor for Riz Ahmed and supporting actor for Paul Raci. Frances McDormand was named best actress for Nomadland.

Its overall mission is to support film culture and advance film conversation in the state of Oklahoma.
