Paul Mescal Talks About Going From Watching ‘Gladiator’ With His family to Being in ‘Gladiator II’ [VIDEO]
At a recent Gladiator II press conference for Golden Globe and Critics Choice members, I asked Paul Mescal about the experience of watching the original Gladiator with his father and now his father seeing him in Gladiator II.
It strikes an emotional chord as he continues to be surprised at the trajectory his career has taken, and so quickly. “And the fact that, not just my father, but the fact that my family were at a royal premiere on Wednesday and their son is leading the film isn’t lost on me,” he says.
Watch the FULL Gladiator II press conference with Mescal, Sir Ridley Scott, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington below.
Gladiator II is currently in theaters internationally and opens in the U.S. on November 22.
