San Francisco Film Critics nominations: 'Once Upon a Time…' leads with 8

The newly named San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle (SFBAFCC) have revealed their nominations for the best in 2019 film. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood leads with 8 mentions; The Irishman, Marriage Story and Parasite follow with 7 and 1917 came in with 6.
The locally-set The Last Black Man in San Francisco earned three nominations including one in Best Director for Joe Talbot.
Best Actress nominations came in for Awkwafina (The Farewell), Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story), Lupita Nyong’o (Us), Charlize Theron (Bombshell) and Alfre Woodard (Clemency). Best Actor mentions were Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory), Adam Driver (Marriage Story), Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) and Adam Sandler (Uncut Gems).
