Seattle Film Critics nominations: ‘The Power of the Dog,’ ‘Dune,’ ‘The Green Knight’ lead

The Power of the Dog, Dune and The Green Knight led the Seattle Film Critics Society nominations announced today, with 11, 10 and 9 apiece, respectively.

All were nominated for Best Picture alongside CODA (3), Drive My Car (5), In the Heights (3), Licorice Pizza (4), Pig (3), Titane (6) and West Side Story (5).

The Best Director lineup consists of helmers of the nomination leaders: Jane Campion, Julia Ducournau, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, David Lowery and Denis Villeneuve. Best Actor nominees are: Nicolas Cage, Pig; Benedict Cumberbatch, The Power of the Dog; Andrew Garfield, Tick, Tick… Boom!; Dev Patel, The Green Knight and Simon Rex, Red Rocket. The Best Actress contenders this year are: Alana Haim, Licorice Pizza; Lady Gaga, House of Gucci; Renate Reinsve, The Worst Person in the World; Agathe Rousselle, i and Kristen Stewart, Spencer.

The supporting acting categories found room for Colman Domingo, Zola; Troy Kotsur, CODA; Vincent Lindon, Titane; Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Power of the Dog and Jeffrey Wright, The French Dispatch in Best Supporting Actor while Ariana DeBose, West Side Story; Ann Dowd, Mass; Kirsten Dunst, The Power of the Dog; Aunjanue Ellis, King Richard and Ruth Negga, Passing are the Best Supporting Actress nominees.
