‘The Walk’ to Open 53rd New York Film Festival
Robert Zemekis’s biopic of twin towers wire walker Phillipe Petit (based on his memoir To Reach the Clouds) will open the 53rd New York Film Festival. The true story stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit, the Frenchman who walked between the twin towers on a wire in 1974. The documentary on this event, Man on Wire, won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2009. The film also stars Charlotte Le Bon, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz and Oscar winner Ben Kingsley.
Here is the new trailer for the film and a pair of posters.
