Fresh off its debut at the Cannes Film Festival this summer, the first teaser trailer for Wonderstruck, the new film from Todd Haynes (Carol) is here.
Merging two worlds in a kaleidoscope set to David Bowie’s “Space Oddity,” the film, based on Brian Selznick’s best seller, follows two children in New York City, Ben in the 1970s and Rose in the 1920s. Mystery, drama and suspense weave their way through the teaser as Ben discovers a puzzling clue in his home and Rose reads an enticing headline in the newspaper, both children set out on quests to find what they are missing that unfold with mesmerizing symmetry.
The film stars Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Oakes Fegley and newcomer Millicent Simmonds. Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions will release Wonderstruck on October 13th.
