The first trailer for Joe Talbot’s feature film debut, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, is here.
Official synopsis:
Jimmie Fails dreams of reclaiming the Victorian home his grandfather built in the heart of San Francisco. Joined on his quest by his best friend Mont, Jimmie searches for belonging in a rapidly changing city that seems to have left them behind. As he struggles to reconnect with his family and reconstruct the community he longs for, his hopes blind him to the reality of his situation.
The film won Best Director for Talbot at this year’s Sundance Film Festival as well as a juried prize for its creative collaboration.
Written by Joe Talbot and Rob Richert, based on a story by Talbot and Jimmie Fails and starring Jimmie Fails, Jonathan Majors, Rob Morgan, Tichina Arnold and Danny Glover.
A24 will release The Last Black Man in San Francisco on June 14th.
