Vancouver Film Critics: ‘The Power of the Dog’ wins Best Picture, Andrew Garfield named Best Actor

The Vancouver Film Critics Circle has revealed its winners and Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog was named Best Picture. The film had led the field with five mentions, including Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (both Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jesse Plemons) and Best Supporting Actress (Kirsten Dunst).
Denis Villeneuve was named Best Director for Dune while Don’t Look Up earned the screenplay prize for Adam McKay and David Sirota. Andrew Garfield (tick, tick…BOOM!) and Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter) were the lead acting winners with supporting awards going to Troy Kotsur (CODA) and Ann Dowd (Mass).
