The voting committee for the Foreign Language Film Oscar have voted and nine films will compete for a nomination at the 87th Academy Awards. On this list are the obvious and most predicted choices of Force Majeure, Ida and Wild Tales but missing are some very high profile films. Cannes Palme winner Winter Sleep from Turkey, Cannes Prix du Jury winner Mommy from Canada and Belgium’s Two Days, One Night from the Dardenne brothers and starring Best Actress Oscar hopeful (and previous winner) Marion Cotillard.
