The Best Actor race has a pretty clear top 4, with Birdman‘s Michael Keaton looking at a comfortable lead. It’s that final slot that sees lots of scattered votes for the likes of Joaquin Phoenix in Warner Brothers‘ Inherent Vice, Jack O’Connell in Universal‘s Unbroken, Eddie Redmayne in Focus Features‘ The Theory of Everything and even for Foxcatcher‘s Channing Tatum from Sony Pictures Classics.
