2016-2017 Awards Tracker – The Critics
In this January 13th, 2017 Awards Tracker update, Moonlight and La La Land are neck and neck with each other for Best Picture wins, as are their directors – Barry Jenkins and Damien Chazelle – for Best Director.
Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea) and Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) have utterly dominated their respective acting categories while Best Actress sees a close race between Isabelle Huppert (Elle and Things to Come) and Natalie Portman (Jackie) with La La Land‘s Emma Stone bringing up the rear. Viola Davis (Fences) has the lion’s share of wins in Supporting Actress.
