2016 Casting Society of America (CSA) Winners

HOLLYWOOD, CA (January 4, 2016) – The Casting Society of America (CSA) has announced its feature film nominees for the 31st Annual Artios Awards. Final film ballots have been distributed to CSA members and voting will continue through Friday, January 8, 2016. All winners for film, television, theater, short film and new media categories will be announced at the 31st Annual Artios Awards on January 21, 2016, with award ceremonies being held simultaneously at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and at the Hard Rock Café in New York.

The evening will also honor Academy Award®-winning Director Danny Boyle (“Steve Jobs”) with the Career Achievement Award; writing-duo Michelle and Robert King (“The Good Wife”) with the New York Apple Award; and Emmy®-nominated casting director Bernard Telsey (“Into the Woods”) with the Hoyt Bowers Award.

The eligibility period for film projects includes films released theatrically from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.

“Artios” is an ancient Greek word meaning “perfectly fitted” and the adjective is always used in the plural form.

Erik Anderson is the founder/owner and Editor-in-Chief of AwardsWatch and has always loved all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards since he was in single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show.
