Adele, Beyoncé, Kennedy Center Honors in Highly Competitive Variety Special Race; Saturday Night Live Could Clean Up Acting Cats

With the Creative Arts Emmys coming up this weekend, I have the final predictions from the Emmy Experts in the Guest Acting categories as well as Variety Special, all of which will be announced on the second night of the Creative Arts awards, Sunday the 11th.

There is still no clear frontrunner in Guest Actor in a Drama Series although it seems to be down to returning winner Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards) and Max von Sydow (Game of Thrones). Same for Guest Actress in a Drama Series. Will it be Laurie Metcalf (Horace and Pete) or Ellen Burstyn (House of Cards)?

Guest Actor in a Comedy looks like a tight race between Tracy Morgan and Larry David (both for SNL episodes) but we are universal in our belief that Tina Fey & Amy Poehler will receive the first-ever dual win in this category and Poehler’s first win ever.

Variety Series is going to be a really interesting outcome; The Kennedy Center Honors do so well here but up against Adele and Beyoncé is going to be quite a challenge.

For reference, here is the lineup of categories for both nights and the presenters for each show.

Here are the final predictions for the Guest Acting categories and Variety Special:
