2016 Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) Nominations

Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, The Revenant and Star Wars: The Force Awakens lead the 63rd Golden Reel Awards from the Motion Picture Sound Editors guild (MPSE), with three apiece. All four films, plus Sicario, were nominated for the Sound Editing Oscar this year.

On the television side, Game of Thrones was the nomination leader with three mentions.

Founded in 1953, Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) is an honorary society of motion picture sound editors. The society’s goals are to educate others about and increase the recognition of the sound editors, show the artistic merit of the soundtracks, and improve the professional relationship of its members.

Winners will be announced February 27th.
