The Television Academy has announced the awards categories to be presented during the 71st Emmy Awards and each of the 2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremonies.

The 71st Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22, (8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT) on FOX. The 71st Emmy Awards will be co-produced by Don Mischer Productions and Done+Dusted.

Awards presented at the 71st Emmy telecast include outstanding comedy, drama, limited series, television movie and variety talk and sketch series, along with outstanding acting, directing, and writing awards in these categories.

The Creative Arts ceremonies, recognizing remarkable creative and technical achievements in television, will take place over two consecutive nights — Saturday, September 14 at 5:00 p.m. PT and Sunday, September 15 at 5:00 p.m. PT — at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be produced by Bob Bain and Bob Bain Productions.

Creative Arts Saturday will bestow awards for categories including reality, variety special, documentaries, animated program and short form animation, choreography for variety or reality programs, and interactive program.

Creative Arts Sunday will include awards for short form drama and comedy series, casting, cinematography, and guest performers in comedy and drama series.

For Game of Thrones, the nomination leader with 32 (a new all-time record for a Drama Series), 18 of those nominations come from the creative arts categories where, in the past, the show has done extraordinarily well.

The 2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards presentation will air Saturday, September 21 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on FXX.

Below are three complete lists of awards to be presented at the 71st Emmy Awards and the two 2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremonies, respectively.
