Birds of Prey moves back to the top spot and Hillbilly Elegy back to #2 this month with a single new entry on the chart, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, debuting at #4. But will voters be sick of seeing Trump by then once he’s out of office? Then again, maybe it’s the body suits and old age makeup of Bill & Ted Face the Music that captures the branch’s eye.
Any number of other contenders could find their way in here, from the 30s wig stylings of Mank, the period ‘do’s of The Personal History of David Copperfield or the gnarled limbs of The Witches (unless it’s more CGI than makeup). Don’t sleep on The Prom and Meryl Streep’s red fright wig either.
Coming 2 America will now debut on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2021, putting outside of the eligibility period for this season’s awards. Death on the Nile was pulled from Warner Bros’ release schedule with no word on when or where it will reappear.
Here are my ranked 2021 Oscar predictions in Makeup and Hairstyling for November.
