The San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle have announced their 2022 award winners and The Banshees of Inisherin has been named Best Picture along with Colin Farrell and Kerry Condon earning Best Actor and Supporting Actress wins.

For categories where the vote was particularly close we’ve noted honorable mention for the runners up, including Everything Everywhere All At Once in Best Picture and there was a tie in Supporting Actress where EEAAO’s Jamie Lee Curtis also won.

TÁR was the biggest winner overall with four: Best Director and and Original Screenplay for Todd Field, Best Actress for Cate Blanchett and Best Cinematography.

The group also honored long time Berkeley resident Phil “Mad God” Tippett for his 30 years in the making film, and for his legendary contributions to the field of animation and visual effects. As the founder of Tippett Studio he has kept the craft alive and well in the Bay Area.
