The Toronto Film Critics Association has announced its winners for the best in film for 2022 and Charlotte Wells’ debut feature Aftersun dominated with awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Paul Mescal) and Best First Feature.
It was the film’s first top critics’ win of the season, Mescal’s first Best Actor win and the second Best Director prize for Wells after yesterday’s triumph at the National Society of Film Critics.
Best Actress was Cate Blanchett for TÁR, Best Supporting Actor was Ke Huy Quan for Everything Everywhere All at Once and Best Supporting Actress was Keke Palmer for Nope.
