26th International Press Academy Satellite Awards winners: ‘Belfast,’ ‘The Power of the Dog’ tops in film; ‘Ted Lasso,’ ‘Squid Game’ in television

The International Press Academy (IPA) has announced its winners for the 26th Satellite Awards in Motion Pictures and Television, along with Special Achievement Award recipients, in the final awards for 2021 films.

Belfast was named Best Motion Picture, Drama and also picked up Original Screenplay. The Power of the Dog was overall winner with five awards, including Best Director for Jane Campion and four acting awards, three individual and for the film’s ensemble.

tick, tick…BOOM! was a triple winner: Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical and Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical plus a win for its sound mixing and sound editing. Dune picked up four wins, the same it earned Oscars for: Score, Sound, Cinematography and Visual Effects.

Kristen Stewart (Spencer) and Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza) were named Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama and Comedy or Musical, respectively.

In television, Squid Game, Ted Lasso and Hacks were big series winners with Mare of Easttown, WandaVision and Oslo in the limited series and TV movie categories.
