36th American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) winners: ‘Dune,’ ‘The Underground Railroad’ take top prizes
The 36th American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) were held tonight where Dune won the top prize for cinematographer Greig Fraser. The ceremony was livestreamed from the ASC Clubhouse in Hollywood and hosted by Debbie Allen.
Pat Scola was the Spotlight Award winner for Pig and James Laxton’s lensing of Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad was among the winners in television.
The American Society of Cinematographers honorees and special awards this year were: Ellen Kuras, ASC – Lifetime Achievement Award (presented by Rachel Morrison, ASC); Peter Levy, ASC, ACS – Career Achievement in Television Award (presented by Stephen Hopkins); John Lindley, ASC – President’s Award (presented by Rebecca Rhine and Amy Vincent, ASC); Dan Sasaki – Curtis Clark Technical Achievement Award (presented by Jay Holben).
