The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) 37th annual ASC Awards were announced tonight at the Beverly Hilton where Mandy Walker won the night’s top award, Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography for Theatrical Feature Film for Elvis.

Walker also won the AACTA, the Australian Academy Award, for her lensing of Elvis, the first woman to win that award there as well.

The ASC nominees for feature film aligned 3/5 with the Oscars’ cinematography branch, who subbed out The Batman and Top Gun: Maverick for TÁR and All Quiet on the Western Front, the latter of which won the BAFTA and British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) awards.

The ASC feature film winner has won the Academy Award 17 times in its 36 years, including the last three years in a row.

The FX series The Old Man, starring Jeff Bridges, was a double winner; for Motion Picture, Limited Series, or Pilot Made for Television for the episode “I” and Episode of a One-Hour Television Series – Commercial for the episode “IV.” The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (a double nominee here) and Barry were among the television winners.

Gina Prince-Bythewood presented the ASC’s Board of Governors Awards to Fences Oscar winner and four-time nominee Viola Davis, and Alejandro G. Iñárritu introduced his Bardo Oscar nominee Darius Khondji, who received the International Award.

Five-time Emmy nominee Fred Murphy (The Good Wife, In Treatment) accepted the Career Achievement in Television Award, presented by Jake Gyllenhaal. Charlie Lieberman (Heroes, Party of Five ) received the Presidents Television Award.
