Dune took top honors at the 58th Cinema Audio Society (CAS) awards, celebrating the craft of sound mixing. After a virtual event in 2021, the 58th Annual Cinema Audio Society Awards returned to the Wilshire Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Award-winning director and producer Sir Ridley Scott received the Cinema Audio Society Filmmaker Award at the ceremony hosted by Kirsten Vangsness.
Other top winners of the evening were Encanto, Mare of Easttown, Ted Lasso, Yellowstone and Summer of Soul.
Re-recording sound mixer Paul Massey CAS was honored with the CAS Career Achievement Award.
Lily Adams, a student at Savannah College of Art and Design, was awarded the CAS Student Recognition Award and presented with a check for $5,000.
