Final Trailer for Cannes-winning ‘Emilia Pérez,’ France’s Oscar Entry

Netflix has released the final trailer for their Cannes-winning musical extravaganza Emilia Pérez from auteur Jacques Audiard.
An audacious fever dream that defies genres and expectations, Emilia Pérez tells its story through liberating song and dance and bold visuals, an odyssey that follows the journey of four remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness. The fearsome cartel leader Emilia (Karla Sofía Gascón) enlists Rita (Zoe Saldaña), an unappreciated lawyer stuck in a dead-end job, to help fake her death so that Emilia can finally live authentically as her true self.
Written & directed by Audiard (Rust and Bone, A Prophet), the film won the Jury Prize at Cannes and Best Actress for the quartet of Gascón, Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz, and also stars Edgar Ramírez. Last week, the film was chosen by France to represent the country and its International Feature Film Oscar submission.
The trailer features the Original Song “El Mal” which is available to listen to on all DSPs including Spotify.
The film will be in select theaters on November 1 and on Netflix November 13. Here is the final trailer.
