TIFF50: Final Toronto International Film Festival Titles Announced Including World Premiere of New Claire Denis
The final six additional features have been added to the lineup of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, bringing this year’s count to 291 films (209 features, 6 Classics, 10 Primetime, and 66 shorts). The 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, presented by Rogers, will take place September 4–14, 2025.
Among them are the world premieres of Pablo Trapero’s & Sons, a dramatic adaptation of David Gilbert’s 2013 novel, co-written by Oscar-winner Sarah Polley and directed by Pablo Trapero (TIFF ’15’s The Clan), stars Oscar nominee Bill Nighy as a reclusive literary superstar who calls his sons home for an unbelievable announcement.
Claire Denis’ The Fence is the story of a British-owned construction site in Africa where the supervisor (Matt Dillon) must deal with the death of one of his workers and a local villager (Isaach De Bankolé) who arrives demanding answers. The film also features Tom Blyth and Mia McKenna-Bruce.
