31st Critics Choice Awards: ‘One Battle After Another’ Takes Top Prize; ‘The Pitt’ Wins Big For Television Drama

Tonight was the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, where the critics association gave out awards for the best in Film and Television in 2025.
One Battle After Another continued its streak of Best Picture wins, taking home the top award of the night. Paul Thomas Anderson took home Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for his work on the film, taking home three huge wins for the night. Timothée Chalamet took home the award for Best Actor for Marty Supreme, while Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her work in Hamnet. Both supporting performance awards in film went to performers in horror films, Jacob Elordi winning Best Supporting Actor for Frankenstein and Amy Madigan for Best Supporting Actress for Weapons.
On the television side of things, The Pitt and Adolescence dominated their respective categories. The Pitt took home Best Best Drama, Best Leading Actor in a Drama (Noah Wyle), and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama (Katherine LaNasa), similar to what happened at last year’s Emmy awards. Adolescence won Best Limited Series, Best Actor in a Limited Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series, and Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series. Rhea Seehorn took home her first award for AppleTV’s Pluribus, winning in the Lead Actress in a Drama category. The Studio did well in comedy, taking home both the top prize and Lead Actor for Seth Rogen’s performance in the show.
Here is the complete list of winners of the 31st Critics Choice Awards.
