16th Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS) Awards: ‘Sinners,’ ‘Marty Supreme,’ ‘One Battle After Another’

The Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS) have announced the winners of their 16th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards where Sinners, Marty Supreme and One Battle After Another all took home prizes.
The ceremony honors outstanding achievement in the craft of Music Supervision in film, television, documentaries, advertising, trailers, and video games.
On the TV side, the music supervisors of The Lowdown and The Studio were among the winners.
The Spotlight performer is Role Model, with performances by Danielle Ponder, Abraham Alexander and Adrian Quesada.
The Icon honoree was Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Wicked: For Good, Enchanted, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame). The Legacy honoree was Bonnie Greenberg (Menace II Society, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Tank Girl).
GMS Icon Award Honoree Raphael Saadiq performed the Oscar and GMS Award-nominated song “I Lied To You” from Sinners alongside special guest singer and guitarist Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes. Additional performers included Diane Warren, Sharon Farber, and Eden Kontesz performing the Oscar and GMS Award-nominated “Dear Me” from Diane Warren: Relentless; Keith Secola performing the GMS Award-nominated song “NDN Kars” from Dark Winds; Spotlight Artist Cris Chil performing a new song “15K”; and Alejandro Aranda of American Idol, who performed a tribute to Robin Kaye – the posthumous honoree of the Legacy Award.
The winners will be announced during their awards gala at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 28. Performances and celebrity presenters will be revealed at a later date. Here is the full list of nominations.
