TRAILER: Jake Gyllenhaal Gets Down and Dirty in Full Trailer for ‘Nightcrawler’

The new, full-length trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal’s indie thriller Nightcrawler is here and boy, is it a doozy. Gripping, scary and dark it details the story of Lou Blooom (Gyllenhaal), a man desperate to find work and does in the seedy world of L.A. underground crime reporting. Following the “if it bleeds, it leads” mentality, Bloom finds himself at the forefront of this bloodsport, sometimes a part of it. The film also stars Bill Paxton (Titanic) and Rene Russo (The Thomas Crown Affair).
Open Road Films has moved the film from Oct. 17 to Oct. 31, out of the way of major players like Gone Girl, Fury and Birdman.
Nightcrawler was produced by Jennifer Fox, Tony Gilroy, Michel Litvak, David Lancaster and Gyllenhaal, was written and directed by Dan Gilroy (writer of The Bourne Legacy) and will screen next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
