Trailer: ‘Breaking Fast’ is the gay Ramadan-com you’ve been waiting for

Vertical Entertainment has released the trailer, poster and date announcement for their gay romantic comedy Breaking Fast, from writer/director Mike Mosallam, starring Haaz Sleiman (The Visitor, upcoming Eternals) and Michael Cassidy (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).
Set against the twinkling lights of West Hollywood, Breaking Fast is a romantic comedy that follows Mo (Haaz Sleiman), a practicing Muslim still reeling from heartbreak. When an All American guy named Kal (Michael Cassidy) offers to join him in his nightly Iftars — the traditional meal eaten by Muslims during Ramadan– meal after meal, the two start to discover they have more in common than meets the eye.

The film co-stars Amin El Gamal, Patrick Sabongui, Christopher J. Hanke, Rula Gardenier, Veronica Cartwright, and Aline Elasmar and was produced by Seth Hauer, Sarah Bazzi, Bay Dariz, Alex Lampsos and Davin Michaels.
Breaking Fast will be available VOD from Vertical Entertainment on January 22, 2021.
