2015 Oscars: 20 Films Submitted for Animated Feature Oscar®

LOS ANGELES, CA – Twenty features have been submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 87th Academy Awards®. Big name films include Disney’s Big Hero 6 (opening this weekend), Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Focus Features’ The Boxtrolls.
The submitted films, in alphabetical order, are:

- The Boxtrolls
- Cheatin’
- Giovanni’s Island
- Henry & Me
- The Hero of Color City
- How to Train Your Dragon 2
- Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart
- Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return
- The Lego Movie
- Minuscule – Valley of the Lost Ants
- Mr. Peabody & Sherman
- Penguins of Madagascar
- The Pirate Fairy
- Planes: Fire & Rescue
- Rio 2
- Rocks in My Pockets
- Song of the Sea
- The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
Currently, almost half of the films submitted still have to have their Los Angeles qualifying runs before their submissions are validated.
