The NSFW trailer for ‘Bros’ with Billy Eichner isn’t your average gay rom-com

“Am I going to get buttfucked by Jason Momoa while we’re both worrying about a volcano?”
Universal Pictures has released the very NSFW and very funny trailer for the gay rom-com Bros, written and starring Emmy-nominated writer and director Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street, 2019’s The Lion King, Difficult People, Impeachment: American Crime Story). Eichner is the first openly gay man to co-write and star in his own major studio film.
In the film, Eichner plays a podcaster nabbed by Hollywood to write a gay rom-com for a major studio, but refusing to cater to straight audiences’ need for a palatable representation of gay sex and also falling in love along the way.
Bros is directed by Nicholas Stoller (the Neighbors films, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and produced by Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids, Trainwreck, The Big Sick) and features an entirely LGBTQ+ principal cast, including Luke Macfarlane (Brothers and Sisters), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live, Fire Island), Ts Madison (The Ts Madison Experience), Monica Raymund (Chicago Fire), Guillermo Díaz (Scandal), Guy Branum (The Other Two) and Amanda Bearse (Married …with Children).
Bros will be released only in theaters on September 30.
