Alfre Woodard stuns in first ‘Clemency’ trailer

“You want to play this good guys and bad guys and I’m one of the bad guys.”
Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden Bernadine Williams (Alfre Woodard). As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.
Clemency won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for director Chinonye Chukwu and recently played the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. Woodard is set for tributes and spotlights from the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Hamptons Film Festival before Neon releases the film on December 27.
The film co-stars Aldis Hodge, Richard Schiff, Wendell Pierce, Richard Gunn and Danielle Brooks.
Here is the first trailer and poster.
