‘All of Us Strangers’ Wins Three BIFA Craft Awards

Andrew Haigh’s metaphysical love story All of Us Strangers has won three BIFA craft awards, it was announced today; best cinematography for Jamie D. Ramsay, best editing for Jonathan Alberts and best music supervision for Connie Farr. The film has 14 nominations going into the December 3 main ceremony.

Elsewhere, Sam H Freeman and Ng Choon Ping’s Femme won two awards; best costume design for Buki Ebiesuwa and best makeup and hair design for Marie Deehan. Also a double winner was Daniel Kaluuya and Kibwe Tavares’ dystopian drama The Kitchen, which won best production design for Nathan Parker and best effects for Richard Baker and the late Jonathan Gales.

Raine Allen-Miller’s Rye Lane (which lead the overall nomination with 16) won best original music for Kwes, Mark Jenkin won best sound for Enys Men, and Molly Manning Walker’s Cannes Un Certain Regard winner How to Have Sex earned best casting for Isabella Odoffin.

The 26th BIFA ceremony Sunday, December 3, at Old Billingsgate in London where the winners for acting, writing, directing and more will be featured.

Best Editing: Jonathan Alberts – All of Us Strangers

Best Make-Up & Hair Design: Marie Deehan – Femme
Best Original Music: Kwes – Rye Lane
Best Music Supervision: Connie Farr – All of Us Strangers
Best Production Design: Nathan Parker – The Kitchen
Best Sound: Mark Jenkin – Enys Men
