‘American Gods,’ ‘Outlander,’ ‘Novitiate,’ ‘The Post’ Among 19th Women’s Image Awards Film and Television Nominees

The Women’s Image Network, (WIN) has announced its film and television nominations for The Women’s Image Awards.

Now in its 19th year, Women’s Image Network (WIN) produces The Women’s Image Awards to advance gender parity by honoring women and men who create dimensional female media images.

For the first time since its 1993 launch, WIN has added a new category, Foreign Language Film, to show how the issue of women’s equality is being tackled by talented international filmmakers. The award finalists will be announced in Los Angeles at The Women’s Image Awards ceremony, Tuesday, February 6^th, 2018.

In addition to celebrating its nominated award recipients, Women’s Image Network also honors invited, deserving individuals to accept one of three tributes:  WOMAN OF THE YEAR, LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT or HUMANTIARIAN. Previous honorees include: Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Senator Barbara Boxer, Lily Tomlin, Abigail Disney, Suzanne Roberts, Maria Arena Bell, Jane Campion, Lauren Shuler Donner, Anne Archer, Irena Medavoy and Gurinder Chadha.

Since The Women’s Image Awards serve a dual purpose to honor deserving film and television work and to promote equality a WIN nominees provided responses to their Women’s Image Award nomination. Here are a few nominee responses:
