The Favourite won the Production Design for a Feature Film – Period. Four of the last 7 Oscar winners have first won this category first (Hugo, The Great Gatsby, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water).

Black Panther’s Hannah Bleacher won for Fantasy Film and Nelson Coates took home the Contemporary win for Crazy Rich Asians.

The Favourite and Black Panther go head to head at the Oscars on February 24th. Historically, The Favourite has the upper hand as the correlation between Period and the Oscars is stronger than Fantasy. Mad Max: Fury Road is the only fantasy film winner this decade to do it.

In Television, GLOW, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Alienist and The Handmaid’s Tale came out on top.

Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns), Oscar®-nominated and Emmy®-winning filmmaker, producer, theater director and choreographer, will receive the prestigious ADG Cinematic Imagery Award. British Production Designer and Set Decorator Anthony Masters, nominated for an Academy Award® for the film “2001: A Space Odyssey,” and Benjamin Carré, best known for his work on The Phantom of the Opera and The Wizard of Oz, will be inducted into the ADG Hall of Fame. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Oscar-nominated Production Designer Jeannine Oppewall, Senior Illustrator and Production Designer Ed Verreaux, Scenic Artist Jim Fiorito and Set Designer and Art Director William F. Matthews.

He is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic, accredited by the Cannes Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and more, is a member of the International Cinephile Society (ICS), The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics (GALECA), Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) and the International Press Academy. Among his many achieved goals with AwardsWatch, he has given a platform to underrepresented writers and critics and supplied them with access to film festivals and the industry and calls the Bay Area his home where he lives with his husband and son.
