The Atlanta Film Critics Circle has named Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland the Best Picture of 2020, also awarding the film Best Director and Best Cinematography.
Promising Young Woman placed second with the group, who also gave it Best Actress (Carey Mulligan), Best First Film and Best Screenplay (Emerald Fennell). Fennell was also runner-up in Best Director.
Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Paul Raci (Sound of Metal) and Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) rounded out the acting winners.
