Australian Academy Awards (AACTA) International winners: ‘The Power of the Dog,’ ‘The White Lotus’ take top prizes

The Power of the Dog and The White Lotus were the big winners from the Australian Academy Awards (AACTA) International Awards, announced today.

The Power of the Dog picked up wins for Best Film, Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Supporting Actor (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Homegrown talent favored Best Actress for winner Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos), her third AACTA win. The film was also awarded Best Screenplay. Denis Villeneuve won Best Direction for Dune and Judi Dench surprised with a Best Supporting Actress win for Belfast.

The White Lotus won Best Comedy and Actor in a Series for Murray Bartlett, while Succession was named Best Drama and Kate Winslet Best Actress in a Series for Mare of Easttown.
