AW Emmy Winners: Fargo wins Program of the Year, Orange is the New Black, Veep and The Good Wife Win Big
Orange is the New Black and Fargo cleaned up at the AW Emmys with the Netflix dramedy winning 4 awards (including New Series, Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Directing of a Comedy Episode) and winding up in the top 5 of Program of the Year, the only comedy to do so. Still, it lost out to Veep for Comedy Series. The Coen Brothers spin-off miniseries swept the TV Movie/Mini section and was crowned Program of the Year. On the drama side, Breaking Bad won Drama Series while The Good Wife took both Supporting wins (for Josh Charles and Christine Baranski). Matthew McConaughey won Drama Actor for True Detective and a tie in Drama Actress saw wins for Lizzy Caplan for Masters of Sex and Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black. Hannibal managed a win in Directing and also placed in the top 5 for Program of the Year.
