Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Atlanta Earn Producers Guild of America (PGA) Television Nominations

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has announced its nominations for Television programming and the freshman seasons of Atlanta, Stranger Things and Westworld continue to penetrate the guilds.

Stranger Things and Westworld are going up against House of Cards, Game of Thrones (the current two-time Emmy winner for Best Drama Series) and Better Call Saul, which won this award last year. Atlanta goes up against previous winners and nominees in the comedy category, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, and Veep, as well as another first-time nominee, black-ish. Transparent, which won this award last year, was not nominated.

In the Longform section, Black Mirror (which was heavily lauded for its “San Junipero” episode) joins The Night Manager, The Night Of, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.

In the Talk-Show category, Samantha Bee is once again the lone female going up against the likes of Bill Maher, James Corden and John Oliver.

The Producers Guild nominations for Feature Film will be announced on Tuesday, January 10th and the PGA Awards will be handed out at a ceremony on Saturday, January 28th.
