The Denver Film Critics Society has revealed its nominations today and Black Panther is at the top of the list with seven nominations. The strong showing includes one of Ryan Coogler’s only directing mentions this year but bizarrely the film is missing from their Best Picture lineup. In its place is First Man, while its director, Damien Chazelle, sits out of Best Director.
Next up was The Favourite with six nominations and then BlacKkKlansman, First Reformed and ROMA tying with four apiece. All received Best Picture nominations.
Here is the full list of nominations. Winners will be announced on January 14th.
